Finding Grace in the Pivot: My Unexpected Reset

A few days ago, I got laid off.
There it is—plain and simple. It’s a sentence that once felt heavy on my tongue, thick with uncertainty and tinged with fear. But now, it feels lighter. It’s not the end of something. It’s the beginning of a reset I didn’t know I needed.
Losing my job could have left me in a spiral, but I chose something different. I chose perspective. I chose to pause. To reflect. And ultimately—to pivot.
I started to notice the blessings that had quietly filled the space left behind. The time to breathe deeply. The chance to reimagine my path. The freedom to realign with who I am and what I truly want. I’ve stepped into the world of digital marketing, pouring my creativity and strategy into something that lights me up. Every late-night tutorial, every update to thedreamwork.space, every new idea scribbled into my notebook—it’s all part of rebuilding with intention.
This isn’t just a career shift. It’s a spiritual invitation. To slow down. To trust synchronicities. To see angel numbers not as coincidences, but as gentle nudges saying: “You’re on the right path.” I’ve found strength in mindfulness, anchoring each day with rituals that root me in gratitude. Even moments of doubt are met with compassion—I remind myself that healing isn’t linear, and that growth doesn’t always look like progress.
So yes, I got laid off.
But I also got lit up.
This is my pivot. My reset. And through it all, I’m holding onto optimism like it’s sacred. Because it is.
