Stepping Forward: Why I’m No Longer Waiting for Perfect

ree

For the longest time, I waited. For the perfect sign. The right amount in my savings. The moment when clarity would light up like a billboard telling me, “Now is the time.” But here’s what I’ve come to understand: waiting for perfect often means not moving at all.

Recently, I chose to stop standing still. I booked a trip to Europe—not because the stars aligned flawlessly, but because my heart said “go.” I trusted that the unknown would meet me with exactly what I needed. That decision wasn’t just about travel; it was about trusting life to rise and meet me halfway.

Taking chances doesn’t always look like a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s sending the email. Saying yes. Saying no. Pivoting. It’s choosing progress over perfection. And most importantly, it’s betting on yourself even when the path ahead is shrouded in mystery.

I don't want to get stuck in fear—or worse, in comfort. I want momentum, even if it's messy. I’m choosing to believe that this chapter is unfolding just as it should. No more waiting at the edge of the pool. I’ve jumped in, fully clothed, laughing and hopeful.

Wherever you are in your own journey, I hope this reminds you: life doesn’t reward perfection. It rewards courage.
